Fino took off from the branch and floated down to earth, shifting before he hit the ground. He stood up straight and brushed some possibly imagined dirt off his shirt. "Well done," he said, and he meant it, though his tone had its usual indifference. He could not quite help that. He was not the emotional type. It showed. "We should head back to the city. Find a plane to Aciapoli." He looked back towards the city and his eyes narrowed. No chance I'm spending the night in this place.

Deniz glanced at Fino again when he changed forms, and once more when he was complimented. He nodded his head slightly, not letting the two words get to him. He was still trying to find tell-tale signs of when the werehawk really meant what he said or not, but it was proving to be a challenge being that everything Fino seemed to say sounded just as emotionless as always. Killing prey had been something he excelled in, or at least the instructors said he had. “Yes, master,” he nodded again, glancing around the area. He kept in mind what Fino had told him happens in this place once night came around, and he wasn’t eager to stick around. Aciapoli, also known as the City of Waves. He was curious as to why they were going there. Maybe that city was his master’s home? He didn’t know the answer, and he didn’t ask any questions either. Getting back to Finaiero was first, and then he could wonder why they were going to a different city. “After you, master.” He scanned the area again, frowning. He didn’t like it that he didn’t know the way back to the city and had to rely on his master to return, but at least he would be able to watch Fino’s back.

Fino seemed to sense Deniz’ unease, even if it was slight in its emanation. He was not sure of its cause: him or this place. Deniz had seemed rather on edge since he told Deniz of how dangerous this place was. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and led the way back to Finaiero. At least someone was watching his back. He had missed that. Ever since his last Satellite, well, he had always been watching his back by himself. If only it had turned out differently, he thought to himself, though he wondered ho it could have gone differently. Maybe if… no. I’ve gone over it a thousand times. What happened, happened. He hated himself for saying it like that. It sounded so definitive and hopeless. He glanced back over his shoulder at Deniz as he walked. Will you die on me too? He grimaced and looked back at the trail.

Deniz followed after his master, leaving just a few feet in between them, scanning the area as they went. He wasn’t sure if he was unease because of what Fino had told him. He couldn’t find any other reason besides the unease he had gotten earlier from his master. It seemed like the area was safe enough. He didn’t feel anyone’s gaze on them. There weren’t any sounds besides theirs and those of the odd forest animal going on its business. Maybe master wanted to go to Aciapoli because it was safer? Though he doubted that was the real reason. Firstly, because it didn’t seem like the werehawk was the type to run off because of danger and seek elsewhere to go. Secondly, he doubted anywhere was completely safe from any sort of danger. And thirdly, why would Fino buy a Satellite if he planned on staying somewhere safe? Seeing Fino look back at him from the corner of his eye, he met the werehawk’s gaze, frowning and tilting his head when he had seen his master’s grimace. It was clear his master was in his own thoughts at the moment. What those thoughts were exactly he wasn’t sure, but perhaps it had to do with the Satellite Fino had before him? He bit the inside of his cheek and scanned the area again. He wanted to help, but he wasn’t sure how or if this was something he could help with.
