A large ridge in the city. If one goes down the path to the other side of the ridge, they can easily shift without being seen by the town. |

Kieran led the way to the ridge, going down the path and pausing to wait for Alice. He took his hands out of his pockets and flexed his fingers. Every part of him itched to fly again. It was a burning need he couldn't just ignore. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't be out here. Even from the ridge, he could hear the warning alarms going off.

Alice was right behind him, breathing a bit heavy. It had been a long time since she had flown as well and she was just anxious. But after a moment she'd be ok. She looked towards her brother, waiting for his lead of course.

He started his shift, his bones breaking and changing, realigning and solidifying, limbs and organs growing, elongating, shrinking, appearing and disappearing, until there was nothing left but a great red dragon there, with eyes and mouth of flame.
The dragon paced back and forth a moment, flexing his wings and lashing his tail. He looked at Alice. Let's get a move on then.

He snorted and snapped his wings open. With a powerful beat down, he launched into the air, flapping his wings to gain some height before shooting off like a falling star, heading for the forests.

"Right..." She nodded and winced a slight bit, jerking back a bit as she shifted into her form. Her's was practically the same shift just with more wincing. The other red dragon that occupied this area, lifting her head for a stretch and spreading her wings. Like always. You lead.

With a great beat of his wings, he shot up through the dark clouds and into an almost ethereal world. Dark clouds above, dark clouds below, nothing in between. He snorted a little puff of smoke and slowly flew along, speeding up when he hit a warm current. He was heading towards the forest still, but he just wasn't in that much of a hurry.
How nice of you to make sure my death isn't a silly one.
He slowed in his flight, just hovering as he beat his wings slowly, letting a hot current hold him up. I should turn around, he thought to himself, tell him I'm sorry. He couldn't believe he had screwed up so badly.
Is that really what my brother thinks of me? That I could even be that heartless? And the look on Adrian's face. Keiran could recall many moments when he had regretted something deeply, and this was one of them.

Alice followed suit, launching in and nearly plummeting towards the ground. However she got into her groove once again and soared along with her brother. For awhile she stayed silent, and then she flew ahead of her brother. Perhaps she'd fly so far ahead she'll disappear and everything will be happy again.

Kieran watched her a moment, then beat his wing and shot after her, riding a rather large current to end up at her side, holding wings out taut so he could glide next to her. Don't fly so fast. If something happens, it'll be no good to be separated.

Alice glanced towards him a bit surprised, but gave a small nod and continued to fly alongside him. Those negative thoughts still flooded her mind and she struggled to push them away and just fly along.

The massive red dragon returned, landing in much the same spot he left from. In mere moments, Kieran was once more human. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he looked up at the other red dragon flying overhead.

Alice came to a landing in front of him, shifting once she landed. She staggered a bit, somewhat abrupt, but she had been flying somewhat slow. Poor Alice was exhausted already. She looks towards Kieran and then back towards the way they came.

He noticed how tired she was, but made no comment on it, only got a different look to his eyes. "Wanna get something to eat?" he asked. "It'd be good for you to get back in society again."
