The dragon had not failed to notice Adrian's injuries. Or the overwhelming stench of blood and death from the red dragon. He crouched by the guard, avoiding the missing limb to feel several of his pulses. There were none. And the body was definitely cold. He saw a slight bit of skin under the shirt and pulled it back. The whole area was dark purple and black. Internal bleeding. The uneven chest pointed to punctured lungs. A very hard way to die. He looked at the red dragon again, and his eyes widened slightly. The missing metal eye. Highest sign of exile. "Where did you come from?" he asked, his voice taking on a more stern tone.

Adrian grew tense when he saw the stranger approach and start examining the guard. He didn't back away, and his grip only tightened on the dead man's shirt. The stern tone he was spoken to didn't encourage him to meet the other were's gaze, so he kept his gaze down on his lap. This one mustn't be a guard if he didn't know where they came from, or perhaps even who they were. "Cinaed," he finally replied. He didn't know what the stranger would do. Whether they would be taken prisoner again and sent back or if they'd be allowed to stay.

The stranger looked over at the red dragon again and breathed out an exasperated sigh. "This is over my head," he speculated aloud. "Well, we'll have to force change your friend there back to human form, then take you two into custody for now." He looked Adrian up and down again with those abysmally black eyes. "Get you a doctor too." He stood up and brushed dirt off his pants. Looking up, he beckoned the dragon over with a wave of his hand.

Adrian's breathing became ragged and he heard his heart pounding in his ears. He begun to shake his head, before he started to drag the dead guard away and continued to dig at the unfinished grave. "No. I'm not going anywhere with you or anywhere with him," he snapped, his tone carrying an edge. He didn't plan on leaving until he had buried the guard, and when he left it wasn't going to be as someone's prisoner.

The young man narrowed his eyes, dropping his hand back to his side as he returned his gaze to Adrian's level. The kid looked so pathetic just huddled there with the dead body. "Look, kid, you're really not in a position to order me about. You crossed our borders unannounced with an exile. Now, I know we are a different city here, but we are still dragons, so there needs to be some investigation into this whole matter before we can just turn you loose. You have to come with us. It's not an option."

"No. You're in no position to order me around," Adrian growled, continuing to dig furiously. "The King couldn't order me around and you're not going to be able to do it either." He paused, looking down at his shaking hands. Whether they shook in anger or in fear he didn't know. What he did know, was that he was screwed either way. He was going to be taken against his will whether he liked it or not. He held onto the dead guard's hand tightly before he let go slowly. Another failure to add onto ever growing list. "I'll take my chances with the rest of the guards in Cinaed. At least I know they're going to kill me instead of beating around the fucking bush with some investigation."

He looked at him strangely before reaching some sort of conclusion in his head. "I know I said custody, but I didn't mean Thuringar dungeons," he said slowly. "You are obviously injured and exhausted. If you flew all the way from Cinaed it's a miracle you're still alive with all that you've got wrong with you. And seeing as you're in no condition to stand up against me let alone go all the way back to Cinaed, I think you should just come with us for now before you really hurt yourself. Alright?"

"Custody doesn't sound very different from a dungeon and it still means I'm a prisoner since I have no free will," Adrian snapped again, pushing himself away from both the dead weredragon and the living one. "With all I've got wrong. You don't know the half of it....but with all I have wrong with me I was still stubborn enough to fly all the way here, and I'm still stubborn enough to go back." He stood up on his one leg slowly, holding his arms up at his sides for a moment, finally meeting the other weredragon's gaze. "I'm standing. Does it look like I care if I hurt myself anymore? Give me a knife, a gun, a needle, even a fucking spoon and I will end it right here and now. My life has been controlled since I was born and I'm tired of it. If being dead will put an end to that, then I'll do it."

Spirits on high, what I wouldn't do for a tranquilizer right now. "You know what..." he mumbled, "just forget I said anything. You want me to be mister hard ass? Fine. Bury your dead. Say your prayers. Then get your hands over your fucking head, cause by all authority I do possess in MY city, I hereby take you under custody for crossing borders with an illegal exile!" His voice was shouting, but surprisingly controlled. "Do you understand me?!"

Garaveth followed after her companion, swiftly swooping down to the Edge where she slowed and landed. The large dragon had a long form and a wolf-like face. Her soft eyes landed on the others on the edge and shifted back into her human form. She then nervously brushed her long blonde hair with blue tips back behind her ears as she glanced at the two princes, though her eyes soon landed on the dead boy. Her gaze saddened at the sight of him and quickly looked up at the others silently, unsure of what to say about the scene before her.

As if he could forget what the other weredragon said. That was too much wishful thinking. He couldn't bury the guard. He was conflicted being that he wanted, more like needed to bury the man, but he wouldn't have the strength to fly if he used it all to bury him. His eyes narrowed when he saw the other dragon land and shift into human form as well. Adrian shifted into dragon form. Baring his fangs at the other weredragons he took off into the sky and back towards Cinaed. He always had trouble following orders.

The young man just shook his head. As an aside to Garaveth, he said, "he'll drop out of the sky in about twenty minutes. Mark my words. Looks like they flew here without stopping. That's what? Ten hours?" He walked up to the red dragon's side and looked him over. he had no obvious, outward injuries, but his front legs looked crooked, and his wings were crumpled in oddly. They all looked like war zone victims to be sure.

Garaveth flinched slightly at Adrian's narrowed eyes and looked away from him. She continued tp stay silent, there really wasn't much she could say and though she would have tried to stop Adrian he wouldn't have listened. At her companions words she couldn't help but sigh softly and look up into the sky at the dark figure. "Probably, I don't know why he would go back up there after flying for so long," She stated in a soft voice and followed after the man, glancing over the red dragon in front of her now. It was clear they had seen battle and there was a lot of damage that needed tending to.

Adrian continued flying, but he was already growing tired. His wounds throbbed and ached, demanding he rest instead of exert himself any further. He didn't know how long he had been flying for before he didn't think he was able to take anymore. He pushed himself again and again, to keep flapping his wings before he finally gave up. The dark blue dragon managed to keep his wings open enough so that he was able to glide down instead of plummeting towards the ground. He skidded and came to a halt, just a few feet away from the tree he would have slammed into if he continued going. He knew the other dragons would end up coming after him, and he was interested to see how well they could handle ice if they were still determined to take him prisoner.

The young man stepped forward and transformed to a dragon, white and gold body and the massive wings. His icy eyes flickered slightly as he approached the massive dragon. He nodded to Garaveth to go after the younger dragon and bring him back. He scooped out a hole into the ground with a large, clawed foot and settled the guard's body inside. That was when he noticed the uniform insignia: bloody and dirty. He licked the dirt off and looked the insignia over. Whatever is the meaning of all this? he wondered.
