Alice came rocketing after shifting outside of the village. She ran into town, looking for officials she could trust. Enethar's life was on the line and she need help fast. "SOMEONE! HELP!!" She called as she reached the center of town. "MY FRIEND'S BEEN TERRIBLY HURT!" Alice stopped and breathed heavily, her entire body shaking.

A few people had been outside, and they stared at her in surprise. One of them came over to her as soon as she had finished her shouting. "Where is this friend?" he demanded. "Are you hurt?"

"No I'm fine... he got himself hurt trying to protect me... He told me to go ahead to get help. He's this way towards the Ashlands..." She said frantically, tears streaming down her eyes. "He doesn't have much time!" She pointed in the direction she came from. "Please help us..."

"We'll need flying weres," he said, looking around. He motioned over one of the women nearby. She came over. "Watch over her for now," he said. "I'll go round up the flying ones." He gave Alice a look as if not trusting that she was totally okay, then he ran off to go take care of things.
"Hey, there there dear," the woman said. "My, my, you're shaking real bad. Come on then. How bout you sit down. They'll find your friend."

Alice nodded and slowly walked towards the woman crying and shaking. "W-We were leaving Cinaed... A-And we got attacked by something... I smell like it..." She gagged, realizing that she still smelled of that abomination that attacked her. She didn't realize it, but she had nasty gashes on her back. She had no idea if she should tell who she really is...

"Well, come over here and sit down for a minute," the woman said, taking Celeste gently by the arm and guiding her to a little bench. "Why don't you bring her some water and food," she said to another person nearby. The girl nodded and ran off and into one of the houses. The other people were whispering among themselves.

She looked down at the ground and whimpered, praying to God that Enethar was going to be alive. But then again there was that massive doubt hanging there. "... I hope he's alive... if he's not... It's gonna be all my fault..."

The young girl returned with some shepherds pie and a bottle of water. She plopped down in a seat next to Alice and held them out to Alice.
The man from earlier came out of one of the houses with about five others in his wake. The others were talking urgently, probably about how to go about finding Enethar. Then they shifted into various flying creatures and took off into the sky. The man from earlier apparently couldn't fly, cause he merely stood there watching. He then headed over to Alice again, looking grim.

Alice nodded to the girl in thanks. She took tiny sips of water and only tiny bites before noticing the man approaching her. His face... Oh no. Alice tried to contain herself, trembling in fear. "... I-Is something wrong...?" She asked, taking another tiny bite of the pie.

"We have reports of Vercingetorix patrols going along the border, so we're going to be delayed getting to your friend," he said. It was no secret that the existence of Silver Village was balanced precariously on a razor edge. If Vercingetorix got wind of them, they would easily be slaughtered. he best protection they had here were a couple snow leopard guards and a rhino. But even those could be taken out with the right gun, and the hunters had plenty of those.

Alice was horrified. "... Oh no..." She shook her head. "He... He doesn't have much time...!" She said panicked. "If he dies it'll be my fault... I told him too stay alive... He promised me He would! And I promised him I would find help..." Then after that Alice completely broke down into frantic sobs, hiding her face in shame.

"We're trying everything we can, miss," the man said kindly. "And I hate to say this to you, but if it comes to it, the security of this village takes priority." The older woman shot him a reproachful glare, and he grimaced, but would not apologize. He had to say the truth, even if it was hurtful.

"There, there, dear," the woman said. "Let's get you indoors. You look dog tired." She helped Alice up and wrapped an arm around her from the side. "There's a boarding house this way. It has some very comfortable beds." She smiled sweetly and led Alice off.
