The Fat Duck

She leaned back" we were heading to *names one of the kingdoms* in late winter. It was storming out pretty bad when we got half way there and it was getting really late. We couldn't see 10 feet in front of us. So when we saw lights of town we decided to stop and get a couple rooms at a run down Inn at the edge of town. It looked better then continuing on the road that night. there was good warm food and a fully stocked bar. "she said telling him about the place" at dinner we heard rumors about people disappearing around the area and people being haunted by stuff. We dismissed it of course since there wasn't any proof to it but we later found out" she paused for a moment" that we shouldn't have. The next morning 6 of our men were missing and we found them shredded to pieces at the edge of the forest. the winter storm didn't show any sign of letting up for quiet some time. The Prince was eager to hunt what ever killed our men. The princess just mocked him but treated me like dirt saying stuff like if we were so good then those 6 men wouldn't have been killed. the next night is when it all happened. we were sitting in the bar while the locals drank and sang like it any other day. the more they drank the more creep the singing became as night set and their singing is echoed by the sounds of the wind howling outside. wolves in the distance and sounds of metal clinking together. When The princess and prince got into their third fight everything in the bar fell dead silent as a scream ringed out through town" she said and paused glancing at him for his reaction.

Electra looked at him" naturally we all got up and went outside. A local child was covered in blood knelt besides her parents, the mom died and the father just rambled on about some kind of monster "she said calmly" at first we thought he just lost it but we later found out that he wasn't. after that I couldn't help but feel a little edgy and get the feeling that someone was watching us" she said pausing once more as she remembered that feeling. She hated it and it made her feel uncomfortable. " we decided to take shifts that night to guard all night. I stayed near the prince and princess to protect them. When I was checking windows to see if their were locked..... I did see a shadow pass by..... it looked deformed "she said smoothly. " anyways around 1 with more drunken singing in the back ground the thing made his move taking out 4 guards in minutes. it swept through the rookies like cake. it was up to the senior guards and me to protect the royal family and those who hide behind us. when it came into sight the sight of it could nearly send your limps numb and freeze you to your spot. it was deformed beyond looking anything like a human. it could have been a deformed werewolf or something to that sort but I couldn't be certain. it charged us as it's claws scrapped against the wood beneath it. it wounded the chief guard badly and almost took the 3 of us out right after. it took both of us to get lucky strikes into it's abdomen and chest to take it down but not with sever wounds to each of us. "she spoke softly hating to admit her falling to the deformed beast. what ever caused it's deformed body and it's blood thirst was a mystery never solved.

She nodded" yeah the two strikes to the abdomen hit it's heart. In it's last attempt it stabbed both me and a fellow guard," she said as she placed her hand on her lower side. It hurt from time to time when she remembered how she got it. "The next day, the storm was calmed down enough that we could get out. The king from the other kingdom met us half way having been expecting us there over a day before," she said gently. "When we got home, the king gave me some time off to recover from the wounds" she said gently not mentioning the mental ordeal she went thought facing it. Having to fight it while everything in her body wanted to freeze up on her. The chill that went through her entire body and down her spine, chilling her to the bone.
