Venus led Alice back in the house but to the kitchen this time. "Here," she said, pulling out a chair for her. "You haven't eaten anything in hours. I'll go get the tray from your room." She gave Alice an encouraging smile, then she went to go get the tray.

Alice was in fact very hungry. Her stomach growled a bit from hunger as she waited for her food. She still had her mind on Enethar, since she was so worried about his condition. She prayed he'll stay alive.

Venus returned with the food tray and set it down. One by one, she put the dishes in front of her and uncovered each one: a bowl of baked oatmeal with cinnamon sugar, a plate of eggs and bacon, and a smaller plate with toast and some grapes on the side. "You want anything special to drink?" she asked. "I've got water -obviously-, um... milk, orange juice, apple juice, and a really nice caramel tea. Maybe that would be nice? It helps soothe the nerves." She stayed pleasant as she could, knowing Alice was still worried, though hopefully not as much since she now knew Enethar was back safely.

"Tea will do, thanks." Alice said with a tiny smile. She loved tea, it was so refreshing. She poked the eggs for a moment before taking a bite. Then she continued to eat and trying not to stuff her mouth with food, going by manners. But she was so hungry.

Venus nodded. "Alright." She smiled in return, then went about opening cupboards and retrieving things to prepare some nice tea. She loved tea too. Soon, there was a kettle of tea boiling away in the fireplace, and Venus was now working on what looked like a batch of cookies. She hummed softly as she worked.

Alice had finished her food after a few minutes. She had nearly shoved the food into her mouth she was so hungry. Now she was very thankful that she was full. She looked to where Venus went and smiled slightly smelling cookies. She then realized the crumbs on her mouth and wiped them off with her napkin, laughing only a tiny bit. She kept telling herself now that Enethar was going to be ok.

"Hey, if you want, I can go check on your friend in a little while," she offered. "I can't right now. They're probably really rushed by now. But I can go in and ask questions. I help around there sometime, so they won't mind if I go in." She looked back at Alice. "I can tell you how he's doing."

"Sure." She said with a small nod, wondering why she couldn't go. Maybe because right now he was in beyond critical condition. But she sighed and turned back to the table, patiently waiting for the tea.

The kettle made a shrill whistle, and Venus quickly wiped her hands on a towel before going over and taking the kettle out of the fireplace. She poured two cups of tea and handed one to Alice. "It's hot," she warned gently.

"Thank you." She took the tea and took tiny sips. "I might take a nap in a bit. I barely got any sleep last night." She muttered, slightly annoyed by the lack of sleep.

"That sounds like a good idea," she said, taking the cookie sheet and setting it in the top of the fireplace's oven. "The cookies should be done by the time you wake up then. And I'll have news of Enethar too." She picked up the counter and wiped her hands clean again before sitting in a chair to sip her own tea.

Venus nodded and leaned back in her chair. After about a minute or two, the door opened, and the patroller from earlier stepped in. He paused when he saw Alice and nodded to her politely. "Hey, Venus." She set her tea down, stood up, and walked over to give him a hug. "Welcome back." She pulled away after just a moment. 'Sit down. I'll get lunch for you." He took her seat while she went to the fridge and gave another polite nod to Alice. "I'm Viggo," he said, holding out his hand to shake. "Sorry we couldn't give you a better welcome yesterday."

He shook her hand. "Yeh, no problem." He looked back up at Venus, then back at Alice. "If you don't mind my asking, what were you two doing so far out in the Ashlands like that?" He paused. "And what attacked you exactly?"
